Description

Quince is one of those seasonal fruits that you either know or you don’t know. And we’re here to make sure you know!

This fruit is similar to apples but with a pear like appearance. Bright golden yellow when mature, it’s known for its intense aroma, flavour, and tartness. The raw fruit is often too hard to be eaten as is, and therefore used mostly in marmalades, or cooked/roasted as a dish enhancer.

Quince has moderate amounts of Vitamin C and Copper, and it isĀ  believed to offer a variety of health benefits. It is a fruit rich in antioxidants which have been known to help reduce stress, lower inflammation, and protect cells against damages done by free radicals. Among other benefits, quince has been known to help reduce pregnancy-induced nausea and vomiting thanks to the amount of Vitamin B6 the fruit carries.
